Facial Threads
Facial Thread Lift Procedure has revolutionized the non surgical Aesthetic field .
What is a thread lift?
Thread lift is a safe non-surgical procedure suitable for men and women who desire to get some lifting effect without going under knife . In addition to lifting, this procedure provokes the body’s healing response ro stimulate collagen synthesis in the areas that are healing. In this method, Specialized threads are passed under the skin using a needle (without any incisions) to lift the sagging area . Most of the time several threads are used in different directions to catch the saggy skin. These threads are then pulled up to give an immediate lift in the face, jaw or neck areas, then fix them all together in the place.
The threads will dissolve slowly in the next few months and the newly lifted tissue will firmly attach in place and no longer needs the additional support.
Where can the threads be used?
Due to age-related alterations in facial volume ( fat, bone and cartilage loss ) and increased collagen degradation accompanied by reduce collagen synthesis, skin strength and elasticity will be changed. So we need proper treatment plan to restore volume lose and lift the saggy skin .
we refill Volume loss mostly with fillers or collagen stimulating formulas like sculptra and Radiesse or fat grafting .for lifting basically we use HIFU and Thread lift if we dont want to go for plastic surgery .
. Threads can lift:
- Chin (to treat a double-chin)
- Neck
- Eyes
- Jawline
- Cheeks
What threads do we use?
At Roya Medical Center , our Doctors use PDO , PCL , or the best resorbable PLLA polylactic acid sutures. They are better than other typical lifting threads because the middle part of the thread, which is placed in the skin, provides a high level of support for the lifted and fixed area. Moreover, the thread is easier to relocate when correction is necessary.
Is a thread lift painful?
A thread lift is usually performed under local anesthesia, which makes it very comfortable. The procedure requires around 30 minutes and you should expect minimal pain or discomfort afterwards and mild swelling with 3 days for full recovery.
How long does it last ?
basically we don’t use permanent suture as we explained about permanent fillers to avoid any unwanted complication .
PDO threads last maximum 6 months but the body makes scar tissue around them that makes the effect last longer specially if you have it multiple times .
PCL threads lasts 6-9 month
PLLA lasta maximum 2 years .
